"If I know something to help the rider -- I give it away. I can't see keeping the solution to myself. I want to share what I know with riders of all ages and experience. I love horses and  being with folks who share this passion."

Virgil's calm and easy style makes it a real treat for new riders to learn the staples of traditional western riding. Discover the little details that make big differences in how a horse and rider performs. Not only do riders learn the western style of riding, they learn about caring for the horse and equipment. Learn all about tack. Find out what to use, when to use it, and how to use it properly.

Experienced riders are taken to the next step and learn the safe and humane way to start a new horse and to train a horse to do what the rider wants. Virgil covers everything from putting on the saddle to training a horse to load. Virtually everything a horse needs to know is thoroughly covered in the clinics.

Developing a good relationship with a horse revolves around the trust the horse has in the horseman. If any part of the relationship is a chaotic experience to the horse, then the whole relationship will suffer. Virgil shows you -- hands on -- the peaceful and orderly way to ride and train that results in a bond of trust between the horse and rider.

Clinics

TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK HANDS ON WITH A REAL WESTERN HORSEMAN

THE CHOICE IS YOURS

Clinics can be held at an arena near you or at the Wicks Horse Training Center. Often it makes a lot of "horse sense" for the teacher to come to the students, after all travel for one costs less than travel for ten. Just recently he was invited to Belgium to put on one of his clinics. On the other hand, it can be a wonderful experience to visit scenic Idaho.
